Job description

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic manufacturing leader who is visionary, results-

driven, collaborative, authentic, and leads by example. This role will oversee and direct

all operations within the Tomlinson manufacturing plant and is responsible for managing

and optimizing the production process, improving manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring

product quality and delivery times.

Key Responsibilities:

❑ Team Leadership: Lead the manufacturing team, providing guidance,

direction, and support to ensure a high-performance culture and build future

leaders.

❑ Provide Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to maximize

operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

❑ Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process,

from raw materials to finished products, ensuring efficient and cost-effective

operations.

❑ Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance manufacturing

processes, implement best practices, and identify opportunities for automation

and innovation.

❑ Supply Chain Management: Ensure timely delivery of products by maintaining

strict production schedules and managing supply chain operations.

❑ Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all

products meet or exceed customers expectations.

❑ Product Development: Collaborate with Kravet brand product development,

sales and marketing teams to plan production and anticipate demand for

furniture products. Work closely with the Director of Product Development to

stay apprised of development efforts, resources needed, and deadlines.

❑ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and

environmental regulations and standards.

❑ Relationship Management: Maintain excellent relationships with vendors,

suppliers, and customers.

❑ Goal Setting: Set goals and measure and report against those goals tied to

the main strategic initiative.

o Prepare and submit reports on manufacturing activities, including

production costs, inventory levels, and performance metrics to the EVP

of Operations as required.

❑ Service Level Standards: Monitoring service and factory communication and

coordination to ensure scheduling that meets or exceeds service level

standards.

Complexity:

Oversees a team of 80+ employees in the manufacturing plant. Business areas of

responsibility include customer service, purchasing, product development, scheduling

and manufacturing. There is also direct oversight of budgeting and profitability based on

annually set expectations.

Job requirements

Experience/Certifications/Education:

❑ Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering or a

related field. Master's degree is a plus.

❑ 10 - 15 years of experience in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a senior

leadership role.

❑ Proven track record of success with improving manufacturing operations,

reducing costs, and increasing productivity.

❑ Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within a

manufacturing environment.

❑ Experience working in the furniture manufacturing industry is preferred.
