Job description

We are seeking a Sales Tax Clerk to join our Finance department at Kravet LLC. As a Sales Tax Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales tax returns and related documentation. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be key in this role. This position is responsible for sales tax compliance, which includes, but is not limited to, obtaining proper certification from customers, applying it to their account and crediting and refunding any sales tax charged. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Update sales tax information for customers in Avalara and Oracle.

  • Prepare and enter credit card refunds into Oracle system.

  • Obtain, review & update sales tax information from customers

  • Prepare credits and refunds for sales tax paid

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to sales tax

  • Prepare and submit sales tax reports to the appropriate tax authorities.

  • Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Job requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite products

  • Experience with Oracle or similar EBS system preferred

  • Familiarity with sales tax procedures advantageous

  • Accounting knowledge beneficial

  • Possess a friendly demeanor, able to collaborate effectively and self-motivated in a dynamic setting

  • Skilled in extensive phone and email correspondence with clients and internal teams

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively take charge and excel within team dynamics or autonomously

  • Hybrid position with on-site training

  • Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000
