Overview: Product Assistant will coordinate the process of preparing carpet sampling  to be placed in the sales field. Process information and handle relevant support materials. Be knowledgeable of the product line by traveling and merchandising showrooms. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Initiates flow chart and coordinate sampling  from open purchase orders to showroom launch.

  • Conveys shipments to workrooms, SC warehouse or overseas. 

  • Create allocations, distribution, packing list, print sell sheets to insure samples rollout efficiently.

  • Label creation, label applications and prototype assembly when needed 

  • Maintains  master sample distribution log in Microsoft Excel. 

  • Communicating with mills by collecting & recording  all information for new programs and special requests.

  • Oracle data entry - adjustments, sales  and product reports.

    • Price list - edit, oracle extractions using excel to manipulate data on a regular basis

    • Monitoring needs for refills, research missing best sellers, SC memo and reorder. 

    • Purchase Order Creation and Maintenance for AP

  • Proofing sales tools, such as price list & catalogs

  • Assists Product Development Department with sales meetings, licencees or special requests 

  • Communicates with sales of all sample related activities

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher

  • Self starter & ability to work independently

  • Excellent time management, problem solving & follow-through skills

  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

  • Flexibility to travel is a must (sometimes on weekends)

  • Experience with administrative tasks

  • Strong verbal, written & reading

  • Microsoft/G- Suite proficient. Advanced Excel skills a plus

  • Prior Industry experience is a plus

  • Positive can-do attitude, with a willingness to take on any task to meet department goals

  • A goal-oriented, team player

  • Travel for showroom merchandising when needed 

  • Lifting up to 30 pound boxes when needed

  • Pay Rate: $25.64 - $28.21
