About the role:

We're looking for an experienced and highly organized HR Coordinator to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. You'll be a key player in our Human Resources department, providing crucial support to our employees and ensuring our HR operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of HR experience, a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, and a proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. We need someone who is not only highly organized but also a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with people at all levels of the organization. This is a hybrid role, 3 days onsite in our Woodbury, NY office.

Key responsibilities:

  • HR Administration: You will draft essential employment documents, including employee change forms for our ADP system and various employment letters like offer and promotion letters.

  • New Hire Onboarding: You'll play a key role in welcoming new employees by preparing and communicating all new hire paperwork, including background checks, drug testing, I-9 completion, and e-Verify. You will also be responsible for scheduling quarterly new hire meetings.

  • Recruitment: You'll support the recruitment process by maintaining our Applicant Tracking System, completing employment references, and scheduling interviews for candidates.

  • Corporate Communications: You'll help keep our company informed by drafting quarterly promotion communications and posting monthly new hire announcements on our internal recognition platform, Bucketlist.

  • Performance Reviews: You'll assist with our performance management process by maintaining our Performance Review Platform and drafting monthly merit worksheets.

  • Employee Events: You'll partner with the HR team to organize and execute engaging employee events and activities in both our Woodbury and New York City Design Studio. 

  • Company Pages: You'll be responsible for maintaining our HR intranet page and updating third-party pages like Glassdoor.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1 - 3 years of HR related experience

  • Experience working in a Corporate HR environment preferred but not required

  • SHRM/HRCI certification a plus

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Google Suite

  • Familiarity with ATS platforms is a plus.

  • Pay Range: $28.20 - $30.77 per hour
