Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented General Manager to lead our high-end furniture manufacturing facility. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in manufacturing management, a deep understanding of the furniture industry, and exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team of directors and managers.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Operations Management
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's vision and business objectives.
Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments, including manufacturing processes, supply chain, and quality control.
Monitor performance metrics and financial indicators, taking corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Team Leadership & Development
Directly supervise and mentor the Director of Product Development, Director of Customer Service, and Plant Manager.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to direct reports.
Support the Plant Manager in effectively managing five supervisors, promoting strong leadership practices and employee engagement.
Product Development Oversight
Collaborate with the Director of Product Development to guide the creation of innovative and high-quality furniture designs that meet market demands and brand standards.
Ensure seamless integration of new product introductions into the manufacturing process.
Customer Service Excellence
Work closely with the Director of Customer Service to establish and maintain exceptional customer service standards.
Ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product and process improvements.
Manufacturing & Production Management
Partner with the Plant Manager to optimize production schedules, resource allocation, and inventory management.
Oversee quality control processes to ensure all products meet stringent high-end standards.
Complexity:
Oversees a team of 80+ employees in the manufacturing plant. Business areas of responsibility include customer service, purchasing, product development, scheduling and manufacturing. There is also direct oversight of budgeting and profitability based on annually set expectations.

Experience/Certifications/Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-end manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Demonstrated experience in the furniture manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
Proven ability to manage and develop a team of direct reports and indirect staff.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, and supply chain optimization.
Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within a manufacturing environment.
