Job description

Position Summary:

Assembles precut wood parts to create a furniture frame.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to read production tickets and any special instructions

  • Utilize tools and machines such as tape measures, large staple guns, screwdrivers, grinders, bandsaws, drills, and levels.

  • Must be able to ensure all specifications are met for the order

  • Assemble the precut wood parts.

  • Transport frames from the work station to the holding area

  • Maintain a neat and orderly workstation.

  • Performs other duties as required by the supervisor

Job requirements

Experience/Certifications/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of furniture manufacturing

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills:

  • Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail

  • Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Comfortable multi-tasking, or pivoting between tasks as the need arises

  • Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change

  • A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player, and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment

  • This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high-quality standards.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 9 hours or more daily.

  • Requires lifting 0-25 lbs continuously, 25-50 lbs occasionally.
