Furniture CNC Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Operator with a strong background in furniture manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and setting up CNC machines to produce high-quality furniture components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machinery (CNC router) to produce furniture parts according to specifications.

• Read and interpret work orders to determine machine setups and operational sequences.

• Load and unload materials onto the CNC machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping.

• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments.

• Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.

• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to design specifications, using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.

• Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and troubleshoot issues.

• Keep accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, machine settings, and any deviations or issues encountered.

• Assist in the training of new operators as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in CNC operation is a plus.

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator, specifically within the furniture manufacturing industry.

• Familiarity with quality control procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Physical ability to lift and move materials as required, and to stand for extended periods.

• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company policies.

• Basic computer skills

Physical Demands

• Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail

• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and bend for 8 or more hours daily

• Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Comfortable multi-tasking, or, pivoting between tasks as the need arises

• Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change

• A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs; over 50 lbs. with assistance.

• Forklift experience a plus
