Job description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Operator with a strong background in furniture manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and setting up CNC machines to produce high-quality furniture components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain CNC machinery (CNC router) to produce furniture parts according to specifications.
Read and interpret work orders to determine machine setups and operational sequences.
Load and unload materials onto the CNC machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping.
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments.
Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to design specifications, using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and troubleshoot issues.
Keep accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, machine settings, and any deviations or issues encountered.
Assist in the training of new operators as needed.
Job requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in CNC operation is a plus.
Proven experience as a CNC Operator, specifically within the furniture manufacturing industry.
Familiarity with quality control procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift and move materials as required, and to stand for extended periods.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company policies.

Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and bend for 8 or more hours daily
Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Comfortable multi-tasking, or, pivoting between tasks as the need arises
Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change
A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs; over 50 lbs. with assistance.
Forklift experience a plus
