Job description
Position Summary:
High-End Furniture Manufacturer
An Upholstery Cutter is responsible for manually cutting the pieces of fabric using scissors or a cutting knife (or both). The Cutter cuts the fabric using a pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
Precisely cuts high-end fabrics to specifications, ensuring seamless pattern matching using flow cutting techniques
Adapts patterns for custom pieces
Maintains a clean and organized workspace
Collaborates with the production team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products
Conducts quality checks on cut fabrics to minimize waste and errors
Understands fabric layout, including COM, center cut, flow match, and plain cover
Job requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 0-25 lbs continuously and 25-50 lbs occasionally
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
Manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience with upholstery or furniture manufacturing with a minimum of 5 years experience in high-end fabric cutting
